5 million mobile subscribers for Belgacom
Belgacom, and more particularly its mobile telecom daughter Proximus, has reached the amount of 5 million mobile subscriptions. 83.000 new users joined during the first half of 2009.
In that first half year, the group had a net profit of € 400 million. That’s a 15% decrease compared to last year, mostly caused by the € 66,3 million fine they had to pay after competitors Mobistar and Base filed complaint.
