5 billion SMS in 2007

Belgian newspaper L’Echo reports: In 2007, about 5 billion Belgian SMS messages were sent out, which is on average 500 messages per mobile subscriber. About 120 million of those messages were premium messages. Since those cost on average 1 euro, this generated about 120 million euro.
